Covering a construction area of 68,000 square meters, the Wanhe Innovation Drugs R&D and Industrial Base is headquartered at Phoenix Town in Guangming District. The complex consists of the headquarters of Wanhe Pharmaceutical Company, Wanhe Group (Hong Kong), Senju Wanhe Pharmaceutical Company, a joint venture with Japan's Senju Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Relin Pharmacy and the Wanhe Enterprise Technological Center.

The R&D laboratory and the workshop are designed in line with EU-accredited GMP standards, and the products are exported to Japan and other developed countries in Europe and America.

The base is making efforts to become an R&D and production base for digestive and intestinal microecological health products as well as the largest R&D, production and sales base for ophthalmic drugs in South China. The total sales of the companies are expected to reach three billion yuan and to pay taxes of more than 400 million yuan.

The Wanhe Enterprise Technological Center has 41 core R&D researchers who undertake research projects of national, provincial and municipal levels. The center is also working with prestigious universities to build itself into a leading platform for bio-medicine technological cooperation and project investment focusing on production, education and research.
