Guangming District has unveiled its 2023 Intellectual Property White Paper to mark the 24th World Intellectual Property Day.

On the afternoon of April 22, the launch ceremony for the 2024 Guangming Science City Intellectual Property Promotion Week was held at Guangming Science City.

This event showcased Guangming District's achievements in intellectual property by presenting the top 10 events and the annual Intellectual Property White Paper for 2023. It summarized the district's progress in intellectual property work, highlighted its successes, and released the Intellectual Property Trial White Paper of the Guangming District People's Court to demonstrate the effectiveness of intellectual property judicial protection. Additionally, the event introduced the Guangming Science City Intellectual Property Public Service Information Platform and service guides to streamline and regulate public services concerning intellectual property in the district, aiming to enhance convenience and standardization.

The inauguration of the "Guangming Science City Trade Secret Protection Station" and the "Guangming Science City Trademark Brand Guidance Station" took place during the event. The Guangming Science City Intellectual Property Public Service Center signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Shenzhen Qianhai Notary Office and the Guangdong Anzheng Computer Forensic Appraisal Institute to improve the efficiency of intellectual property protection services.

As a key area in the Greater Bay Area and a national scientific center, Guangming District is focused on fostering original innovation, becoming a hub for scientific and economic research, and attracting innovative talent. Over the past decade, the district has seen significant growth in authorized patents, with a yearly increase in invention patent authorizations exceeding 20%. The district has also surpassed 10,000 PCT international patent applications and owns over 14,000 effective invention patents.
