The 2024 China Mountain Bike League (Shenzhen · Guangming Station) was held in Guangming District from May 25 to 26 as a warmup event for the Paris Olympics.
This event featured 16 categories, including adult men's/women's cross-country races, youth men's/women's cross-country races, and men's open A/B group cross-country races.
Participants included the 2023 Hangzhou 19th Asian Games men's champion Mi Jiujiang, runner-up Yuan Jinwei, women's champion Li Hongfeng, runner-up Ma Caixia, 2023 National Mountain Bike men's champion Ma Hao, 2024 Asian Mountain Bike Championships women's champion Wu Zhifan, as well as over 180 professional athletes from 17 provincial (municipal) teams and clubs, and over 300 amateur athletes.
The event was organized by the China Cycling Association, the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and the Guangming District People's Government.
The Guangming District Bureau of Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports, in collaboration with Shenzhen Xidesheng (XDS) Bicycle Co., Ltd., hosted the event. The races took place at the Shenzhen XDS National Mountain Bike Training Base on a tough track full of challenges like sharp turns, jumps, and rocky trails. Various races were held with different track lengths.
On May 26, a "Ride with Champions" event was also held. Over 600 cycling enthusiasts from across the country gathered to ride along the Guangming trails with Asian Games champions and show support for Chinese athletes gearing up for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
During the event, XDS collaborated with various upstream and downstream brands in the industry, as well as numerous outdoor sports brands, to create a diverse exhibition platform. Attendees had the opportunity to admire a variety of eyewear, fashionable clothing, and bicycle components. The company's high-end brand X-LAB also made an appearance, providing cyclists with a chance to experience their products firsthand.
