German entrepreneurs visit Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
A delegation of German entrepreneurs, representing 18 leading companies and institutions across diverse sectors including software information services, high-end medical equipment, new energy, and trade services, embarked on a journey through the technological wonders of Guangming Science City on June 28 and 29.
The event, a collaboration between Guangming District, the China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC), and the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, also konwn as Deutscher Mittelstands-Bund (DMB), showcased the burgeoning innovation hub to the eyes of the international business leaders.
The German guests delved into the heart of technological advancement, exploring the meticulous planning and robust industrial landscape of Guangming Science City, engaging in project matchmaking and forging bonds with key enterprises in the region. Their odyssey commenced with a tour of the Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, where the evolution of Guangming from its agricultural roots into a bastion of scientific ingenuity was vividly portrayed. Enthralled by the progress and vision of Guangming Science City, the entrepreneurs lauded the city's strategic developments.
Expressing optimism for collaboration, Guangming District laid bare the investment prospects and growth potential awaiting investors. Encouraging more German pioneers to seize the realm of innovation and entrepreneurship, the district beckoned high-caliber talents to partake in co-creating a prosperous tomorrow.
Three German company representatives also unveiled their cutting-edge technologies, setting the course for deepening cooperation.
Venturing deeper, the German contingent immersed themselves in a symposium of scientific marvels by visiting prominent research institutions and innovation strongholds like the Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and the Digital Industrial Innovation Center at Guangming Science City. Witnessing firsthand the symbiotic relationship between research, transformation, and industry, the visitors marveled at the convergence of talent and technology within this dynamic ecosystem.
"I am deeply impressed by Guangming District's metamorphosis from farmland to a nucleus of research and innovation," remarked Wang Wenhua, vice president of CICPMC.
Michael Heilig, chair of DMB, echoed the sentiments, acknowledging Guangming as a thriving epicenter of technological breakthroughs. He said he was impressed by the unparalleled fusion of innovation and production here.

Strengthening economic ties with German counterparts, Guangming has enticed the likes of Siemens and TÜV Rheinland to make substantial investments in the district.
CICPMC is a non-governmental organization approved by the State Council, dedicated to working with multinational companies. It currently has more than 3,700 Chinese and foreign multinational companies as members.
DMB is Germany's largest cross-industry business association established with the support of the German Government, comprising over 900,000 small and medium-sized German enterprises.
